Fusion CP Family Potluck

Today was the first "family event" of the new church plant.  It was so fun!  Moriah loved playing around with her friends and I loved chatting with everyone and hanging out.  Zack even got some jam time in with Aaron.  I think the highlight for me was seeing Moriah digging in the hay for candy.  It was so cute.  We are heading out tonight to show off their costumes in our friends neighborhood.  They are having a block party tonight.  I will be back with more pictures later.

FLU

It's here.  Our family has been hit.  Today is movie day and lay around the house day.  I am kind of glad we are getting it this early in the season.  Maybe we wont be sick the rest of winter.  Wouldn't that be nice?  Hope you and yours are staying healthy.

Little Levi

Alas, I am afraid I am one of those Moms. I am trying hard not to feel guilty for it because I have heard from everyone that it is just what happens but it sure makes me sad. I am neglecting to tell the world how wonderful my second child is like I did for my first. Don’t get me wrong, I am enjoying every second with Levi just like I did with Moriah but it seems there just isn’t allotted time for me to share with you like I did with Moriah (I guess that happens when you are mom to 2). So, here is my attempt to catch you up.

My little boy is getting so big! He loves sitting by himself and rolling all over the place. I am sure it wont be long till we have a crawling baby.

He wants anything and everything we are eating. He LOVES to eat. We can’t eat and just have him watch like we did with Moriah. He has to have something to munch on too. He has mastered the art of getting water from his sippy but usually just spits it back out. Don’t try and take his cup away though, he loves to just hold and drink/ spit his water.

Another favorite is kissing. He isn’t a snuggler but boy he can sure attack my face when he wants some loving. He grabs me with both hands and comes at me. I love it.

And other exciting news! I believe he has said his first word. The other night he was sitting on Zack’s lap and he saw me and said “Mama.” Zack doesn’t believe that is what he said, but other witnesses in the room back me up. He has also said it three more times since then. Each time he wasn’t babbling but just sitting, turned looked at me and said it. I believe we have a talker on our hands! He loves babbling “Papapa, Bababa”, and recently has been working on “Dadada.”
I fall more in love with him every day and I am so thankful he is in my life.

Are You Serious?

We were out and about as a family and Moriah started to get hungry for dinner.  Zack and I weren’t yet so we decided to stop in a Safeway for a lunchable.  I pay $1 for lunchables at the commissary.  I went in expecting to pay a little more but was shocked when I saw that they were $2.79.  Are you serious?  That is almost three times what I usually pay.  Highway robbery people, highway robbery!  A guess they can charge that because desperate moms like me will pay it.  I did buy it but never again, I will be prepared next time.

Fall Day

Today we spent time as a family enjoying the fall.  It was wonderful.  We went hiking and even saw some mountain climbers while we were exploring.  Moriah loves the great outdoors.  She enjoyed touching everything and feeling all the different textures.  Levi was just along for the ride.  There isn’t much he doesn’t like.  He is so easy going.

After our hike we went to pick pumpkins with some friends.  They have a daughter Moriah’s age, Abby.  Since we were halfway to the nearest Cracker Barrel, we decided to just go the distance and make a night of it.  It was yummy!  After we ate we just sat on the rockers and chilled for a bit.  Moriah and Abby played some checkers and we called it a day.
